In the different topics year groups have been studying all looked at climate change and the effects of global warming. We joined with our partner school in Pakistan to learn about Climate Change and what we could do about it. Year 1 with their study of Polar regions saw the devastating effects of melting ice; Year 2 looked the increasing extreme weather such as hurricanes, floods and drought across the globe; Year 4 studied rainforests and their importance as the ‘lungs of the earth’ and the consequences wreaked by deforestation. This was shared by our partner school in their Wild For Life topic.Year 6 were inspired to produce their own assembly when the read about the bush fires raging in Australia. Climate change is real and it is happening now.
